Quick Start Guide#

Welcome to Charged! This detailed guide is designed to help you integrate the bot into your Discord community smoothly. We will walk through the entire process, from inviting the bot to configuring its advanced modules on the dashboard.

Step 1: Inviting the Bot#

To begin, you need to invite Charged to your server using the official OAuth2 authorization link. During this process, Discord will ask you to confirm the permissions the bot requires. It is absolutely crucial that you grant the Administrator permission. Unlike simple text bots, Charged dynamically manages role hierarchies, creates distinct logging channels, and executes economy transactions that require elevated privileges to function without interruption.

Step 2: Authenticating to the Dashboard#

Once the bot is in your server, navigate to our web dashboard. You will log in using your Discord account. Our authentication system relies on secure, HTTP-Only sessions. This means that your login state is securely stored by your browser in a way that malicious third-party scripts cannot access, keeping your server completely safe from session hijacking.

Step 3: Initial Configuration#

Select your server from the dashboard overview. The first page you will see is the Settings panel. Here, you should define your preferred command prefix (for example, if you prefer typing !help over /help) and select your server's primary language. You will also find master switches to enable or disable massive systems like the Economy Engine and the Welcome module.
